A few days ago in Yellowstone there was a grizzly bear attack at a campground. Several people were hurt and there was one death. They have captured a female grizzly and her cubs. Right now they are using DNA to test to make sure this is the attacking grizzly. If it is, the bear will be killed. They also said they might have to destroy the cubs too because they watched and learned from the attack. At the very least, they will never be set free again. THIS IS WRONG. Man has invaded the natural habitat of the grizzly bear and now they must suffer because of our greed. We do not have the right to invade their territory and if we do, we HAVE TO ACCEPT the consequences. I feel sorry for the people that were hurt or died, but that was a risk they took by camping in the bear’s habitat. It is their consequence and we should not fault the bears. If a sky diver dies because his parachute does not open, are we going to kill the pilot….think not, it was a risk the skydiver took and his consequence. Same with going in the wild and in a bear’s territory. I say SAVE THE BEAR and HER CUBS!!!!!!! Humans are wrong!!!!

Ok, how stupid are these construction workers…get on board with the rest of us and take your pay and benefit cuts like the rest of us. Do you know how many people are out there looking for jobs? Do you know how many people have taken pay cuts, gotten no raises for several years, had their benefits reduced, cut or charged more for them?? Do you know who many people have lost their jobs?? You union people are living in a dream world. Unions are part of the reason for the mess our economy is in today. I think you should all be replaced with non-union workers who need jobs now. Either get to work with what you got or get out now!!!!

Ok, this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. The school board had absolutely no business cancelling this trip. Tell me what this new law has to do with this basketball trip??? Absolutely nothing. And they say it does not fit the values and beliefs of the school??? The school is more than the school board, so just because a few people on the board may feel this way, they should not impose THEIR beliefs on the school as a whole. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Stand up for your rights people!!
Highland Park officials call off tournament appearance because of immigration law

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill.
The Arizona immigration law is affecting a girls’ high school basketball varsity team in Highland Park.
The team planned to attend a tournament in Arizona in December. They organized bake sales to raise money for the trip until the Highland Park High School administrators decided the trip was off.
District 113 Assistant Superintendent Suzan Hebson told the Chicago Tribune that the trip is off limits because of uncertainty about how the state’s new law will be enforced.
The immigration law requires police to question people if they suspect they’re undocumented.
Hebson also said that the law would not be aligned with the schools beliefs and values. That explanation upset parents who say US politics have no place in high school sports.
One of the players says there are no undocumented athletes going on the trip which is why she doesn’t understand the decision.
A group of parents and students said the school should have taken a vote so that they could all decide together if the trip should be cancelled.

BENSENVILLE, IL – Two males were killed this afternoon when their car slammed into a tree in Bensenville, tearing the vehicle into two, authorities said.
One of the victims was a 16-year-old boy.
Bensenville police say the two victims were in an orange 2002 Honda convertible speeding north on York Road beside a second vehicle when it lost control, flew off the roadway and into a tree in the 200 block of South York Road.
Emergency crews who arrived at about 4:13 p.m. found the Honda sheared in two with one of the occupants dead at the scene, according to the police news release.
The second victim, the 16-year-old, was taken to Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 4:56 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Neither victim had been positively identified, police said.
The second speeding vehicle, described only as a dark-colored auto, continued north on York Road without stopping.
Police were working with the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team to gather additional details on the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (630) 350-3455.
